Let's Keep Talking 🙂 (Bell Let's Talk, 2017)

​I suppose if there's any good day to force words out of myself, it's today. Not because the world is suddenly more understanding and willing to listen for this one day, and not just to put in my 2 cents (or 5, of donation☺), but because this week I happened to be having the sort of week where words have been really really hard. After it's out

I chose to post (*pasted below) last year on Bell Let's Talk day (very last minute– always a bad way for me to do things 🙂) because my experiences seemed to be seeping out amongst friends anyways. Mental illness is unfortunately very very easy to hide and keep to yourself, but it got to the point after my Fall hospitalization, where people seemed to know. “Don't judge me, but…”

Those words seem to get said in that order, a lot. “Don't judge me” -- it's a phrase that can stick. It can linger and echo its effects into all we choose to do or say. (...though, like, don't judge me for saying this...but-) Whenever I write any words, I'm accompanied by a powerful inclination to attach “don't judge me” to each letter.
